Staff supporting unpaid carers

Overview

East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership publishes a local carers strategy which sets out how we will improve carer support at a local level. 

In preparing this strategy we want to hear from you.

All of us have an important role in helping carers identify and access support for themselves but we also have a duty to include carers in the care and support planning for the people they care for and we can offer better support and achieve better outcomes by including those closest to the person. 

As a professional you are essential in ensuring carers voices are heard, valued and supported and carers really feel like equal partners in care.
