Draft East Lothian Council Climate Change Strategy 2025-2030
Overview
This survey is to collect feedback from any interested parties on the Draft East Lothian Council's Climate Change Strategy 2025 - 2030.
East Lothian Council declared a climate emergency in 2019 and published our first five-year Climate Change Strategy in 2020. We are now developing a Strategy for the period 2025 to 2030. This document explains our reasons for acting in response to the climate emergency and outlines what action we will take. Your views are important because we are eager to take the best and most effective climate action for our residents, businesses, and partners. Use this form suggestions on how the Draft Strategy can be improved, feedback on our proposed actions, and new ideas for us to consider.
The Draft Climate Change Strategy 2025-2030 is divided into 4 themes, which broadly describe what we do and how we will become climate-positive. These 4 themes are further divided into 17 Focus Areas, which describe the Council's operations in more detail and set out our approach for each area.
The survey contains the written contents of the draft Strategy and asks questions after each of the Themes. There will also be space on each page to freely write in your own comments. This survey closes at 23:59 on Sunday, 15th of December 2024.
