Local Housing Strategy Engagement Survey
Overview
This is the first of a series of consultation and engagement methods which will inform the development of East Lothian’s forthcoming Local Housing Strategy (LHS) 2023-28.
The Local Housing Strategy (LHS) sets out how East Lothian Council and its partners plan to address challenges and opportunities in housing and housing related services across all tenures, over a five year period.
The forthcoming LHS will build on the significant progress made on the issues identified in the LHS 2018-23 and will address newly arising housing matters particularly in response to the publication of new LHS Guidance, Housing to 2040 and the Covid-19 pandemic.
We believe that good housing can help our community to increase attainment, reduce inequalities, create sustainable communities and assist us in regenerating the places we live in. The LHS is key in informing housing investment and service delivery and to ensuring everyone has a home which meets their needs.
