Tenant Questionnaire

The council is proposing to increase rent by a minimum of 6.5% (a weekly increase of £6.09) in 2027/28 to continue to provide housing services and invest in our existing and new council housing.

The proposed rent increase would cover funding for:

  • repairs and maintenance of our properties
  • carrying out annual compliance checks, servicing and upgrades to meet legislation on tenant safety
  • improvements to meet standards set by the Scottish Government
  • inflationary costs
  • continue to meet the changing needs of our tenants.

If we were to increase our rents by 6.5% (an average of £6.09 per week) this would  allow further investment into the service.
