Future Tender of Supported Public Bus Service 2015
Results updated 12 Jan 2015
The information generated by this consultation will be used in the tender process for the Supported Bus Service.
Overview
Three companies deliver our commercial public transport bus services in East Lothian - First Scotland East, Lothian Buses and Perryman's Buses. The Council also purchases additional supported bus services - these services provide essential links between various communities and are currently provided by companies such as Prentice Coaches and Eve Coaches.
A tendering process is due to take place in relation to the purchase of supported bus services from April 2015. The tendering process will help to ensure that value for money continues to be achieved.
Why your views matter
We are asking the public to give their views on public bus service provision in order to help inform the tendering process.
What happens next
The information gathered from this consultation, along with discussions at local stakeholder meetings and passenger survey feedback will help to determine how best to provide publicly financed bus services in East Lothian.
