Longniddry to Haddington Railway Path Resurfacing
Overview
Transport Planning and Engineering (TP&E) have been commissioned by Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust to carry out an options appraisal and detailed design for an established route along the redundant railway line between Longniddry and Haddington.
This consultation will be used to consider options for the upgrade of the sections of the route between Longniddry Station and Gateside Road in Haddington. The works will consider associated access points, assess the various surfacing options for the upgrade and determine what drainage and vegetation clearance is required to open up the route.
The findings from this consultation shall be used in further communication with stakeholders for the ultimate selection of an option to be developed further into the detailed design.
Why your views matter
The path is currently used by a wide variety of users, with the potential to support even more in the future. We are looking for as broad a spectrum of path users as possible to best inform future design choices.
