Overview

In accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999 (hereafter 1999 Regulations) and the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereafter 1984 Act), we give notice that East Lothian Council has made the EAST LOTHIAN COUNCIL (THE LOAN [PART], WALLYFORD) (BUS, TAXI AND CYCLE GATE) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023 to restrict a section of The Loan, Wallyford from the Wallyford Station access road northwards to the junction with Haddington Road to authorised vehicles only.

The Order was made on 19th December 2023 and will come into force on 3rd January 2024.

The notice of the making for the Experimental Order that this Traffic Regulation Order is pursuant to was published in the East Lothian Courier on 7th July 2022 and on www.tellmescotland.gov.uk/notices with reference TO-307/22. The effect of this Traffic Regulation Order is as described in the aforementioned notice for the Experimental Traffic Regulation Order.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Traffic Regulation Order or of any of the provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the 1984 Act or that a requirement of the 1984 Act or of any relevant regulations made under it, including the 1999 Regulations, has not been complied with, may, prior to 6th February 2024, make an application to the Court of Session.
