Traffic Regulation Orders - Various Roads in East Lothian

Overview

East Lothian Council is proposing to introduce a number of new Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) and to amend various existing Traffic Regulation Orders. These proposals were approved by East Lothian Council on the 16th December 2014.  

• Introduction of 30 mph speed limit - A6137, Haddington to Aberlady Road (from the A199 Vert Roundabout in a northerly direction to the north side of the bridge over the A1) including the A199 Vert Roundabout
• Installation of Electric Vehicle charging points (Dunbar, Wallyford, North Berwick, Musselburgh and Haddington)
• Introduction of one way systems - Harbour Road, Musselburgh and New Row, Tranent
• Formalisation of shared surface for cycling / pedestrian use - A199 Haddington to East Linton from the junction with the A1 at the Abbots View roundabout eastwards to the junction with the B1407 Haddington Road, East Linton
• Amendment of existing TRO to reflect changes to streetscape following environmental improvement works - A199 High Street and Linkfield Road, Musselburgh from Kilwinning Street eastwards to Millhill
• Introduction of 40mph limit from existing 30mph limit - B1347 Haddington Road, North Berwick
• Extension of waiting, loading and unloading restrictions Vetch Park and Florabank Road, Haddington

Why your views matter

Proposals to introduce a range of new TROs and amend some existing TROs have been agreed by East Lothian Council and statutory consultation is now underway in relation to this.

Other interested parties (who are not statutory consultees) are also invited to respond.
