2026 Employee Engagement Survey

Overview

The Council values your views on East Lothian Council as a place to work.

Your responses are anonymous and will be reported only at Service/Business Unit and Council level.  Managers will not see your individual responses.

You will also be asked at the end of the survey to vote for a local organisation to receive community benefits funding of £500 provided by Council suppliers at no cost to the Council.

Why We’re Asking for Equalities Information

Providing your equalities information is entirely voluntary, but it plays an important role in helping us improve our workplace. Your responses support us in better understanding the experiences of different groups across our workforce, so we can continue to build an inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, supported, and able to work most effectively.

Confidentiality

Your information will be treated in strict confidence and stored securely within our HR system. It will only be used in accordance with data protection legislation.

• All reporting is carried out anonymously
• No individual will be identifiable in any published data
