Equally Safe
Overview
The Scottish Government has an Equally Safe Strategy which sets out a clear vision to achieve: “A strong and flourishing Scotland where all individuals are equally safe and respected, and where women and girls live free from all forms of violence, abuse and exploitation — and the attitudes that help perpetuate it.”
East Lothian Council is developing its required locally focused Equally Safe Strategy that commits to ensuring violence against women, girls and young people is everyone's business. The goal being, to ensure that policies / service areas across the Council implement procedures and actions that ensure all individuals feel equally safe.
