Community Justice is the term used to refer to the collection of individuals, organisations and services that work together to support, manage and supervise people who have committed offences.

Community Justice involvement takes place from the point of arrest; through prosecution, community disposal, custody and alternatives to these; until the individual is reintegrated into the community.  

Working in partnership with local communities is important to help ensure that Community Justice is effective.
