Muirpark Play Area (Ormiston Road)
Overview
What would you like to see in the renewed Muirpark Play Area, Ormiston Road, Tranent?
East Lothian Council has allocated some external funding to renew Muirpark Play Area, Ormiston Road, Tranent, as the existing play equipment needs to be replaced. Our aim is to provide a challenging, exciting and inclusive play space for toddlers to teens (age range 0 – 15), with a range of abilities, to play and hang out.
We would like to ensure that the new Muirpark Play Area meets local needs and to involve people, particularly children and young people, in its development. This consultation gives opportunities for a range of play equipment options to be considered and prioritised, which we will aim to deliver within the budget available.
Please note that the new play area will also feature seating / benches, bins as well as inclusive and accessible rubber safety surfacing on the ground. We will also take account of the feedback we have already received, including through our recent ‘East Lothian Play Sufficiency Assessment’ consultation.
Why your views matter
The feedback we receive via this consultation will help us to ensure that the new improved play area will represent local views and meet local needs as best as possible. We may not be able to provide everything you would like to see, but we’ll do our best to include as wide a range of new play experiences as possible, for a range of ages and abilities.
Thank you for taking part in this consultation, we value your contribution and look forward to delivering an improved and community steered Play Area.
