East Lothian's Mental Health Support Phoneline

Overview

In Summer 2025 East Lothian HSCP launched a Mental Health Support phoneline for adults (18 years +) in East Lothian. The phoneline provided a way for people in East Lothian to find out about or be referred to a range of professional (NHS and third sector partners) and community supports for mental health and self-help resources.

One year on from its launch, the service that runs this phoneline would like to understand more about the impact this change in delivering mental health support to the community has had.

Where can you find information about the Mental Health Support phoneline?

This survey is open to people that have used the phoneline, not yet used the phoneline or people that have experienced barriers to using this phoneline.

People that have encountered barriers to using the mental health support phoneline are encouraged to share their experiences with us so that we can makes changes to meet your needs.

Why your views matter

East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (ELHSCP) is working together with you to review and improve our mental health support phoneline.

To do this effectively we need your input, so we can make changes that meet your needs and reflect your priorities.

All responses are anonymous, unless you choose to share your identity with us (you may wish to do this if you are responding on behalf of a community group/organisation). By submitting the survey, you are consenting to East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership managing and using your comments to improve services. If you do not consent to this, please close the survey now.

An anonymised summary of the comments (open text questions) will be entered into the ELHSCP Community Engagement Database to better capture, analyse and reflect on comments received from the community in East Lothian. If at any time after you submit your survey you would like your comments removed from the  database, please contact engagement-hscp@eastlothian.gov.uk, ideally with your unique survey reference code which will be generated at the end of the survey.
