Education & Children's Services are consulting on the draft school session dates for 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 to seek stakeholder views on these draft dates. 

Our neighbouring authority, City of Edinburgh Council has set their school session dates and these dates can be viewed within this consultation.  The East Lothian Council draft dates for 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 have taken cognisance of our neighbouring authority dates and very much align with City of Edinburgh Council dates.

 

What happens next

Following the close of the consultion a report will be taken to the June 2024 Education & Children's Services Committee for approval.  Thereafter the approved school session dates will be published on the Council's website and sent out to schools and Parent Councils.
