Early Years Parent Consultation 2023 (birth - 2 years old)

Overview

East Lothian Council (ELC) offers a range of Early Learning and Childcare (EL&CC) options through local Council, private settings, and childminder settings.  This consultation seeks to gain insight around:

1. Parent / Carer preference of the range of EL&CC options within their community.
2. Potential improvements to the future accessibility and flexibility of the EL&CC options available.

We would like to hear views from current and prospective Parents and Carers with children aged 0-2 years.  This will take 5 minutes to complete.

The online survey, asks for views on:

• What (If any) childcare you currently use for your child
• Reasons for attendance
• How you would like to access your child's future EL&CC Entitlement
• Choosing a future EL&CC setting for your child
• Choosing a future model preference for your child

Why your views matter

The findings of the survey will be shared and used to inform future options offered to families accessing funded Early Learning and Childcare places and will support the development of sustainable childcare services across East Lothian
