Overview
If you’re an East Lothian resident or have an interest in the future development of the area, we want to hear your views!
The MIR is the first formal stage leading to the new East Lothian Local Development Plan. The consultation document sets out possible strategies for accommodating new development such as housing, business and retail in East Lothian. Following the consultation, we will consider all responses and use these in preparing the Proposed Local Development Plan, which is expected to be published in late 2015.
Consultation events will take place in the following towns:
-
17 Nov – Musselburgh, Brunton Hall
-
20 Nov – Prestonpans, Community Centre
-
25 Nov – Haddington, Town House
-
2 Dec – Dunbar, Castle Social Club
-
4 Dec – North Berwick, Community Centre
-
8 Dec – Tranent, Fraser Centre
Each event will involve an afternoon drop-in session from 2pm to 5.30pm where you can come along at any point to find out more information and speak to a planner.
In the evenings there will be workshops from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. If you want to come along to a workshop you should register to guarantee your place - see www.eastlothian.gov.uk/ldp for details.
