Supported Bus Routes Consultation

Closed 20 Oct 2019

Opened 9 Sep 2019

Overview

East Lothian Council subsidises a number of bus services on routes where no alternative route exists, and where commercial bus operators would not be able to cover their costs if they delivered a service. Where a need is identified, the Council may subsidise a commercial operator to cover a whole route, or part of a route at a particular time of the day.

We currently subsidise bus services on the following routes:

  • 109 - Humbie to Haddington (Campbells Coaches)
  • 110 - New Winton to Prestonpans (Prentice Coaches)
  • 111 - Haddington to Royal Infirmary (Prentice Coaches)
  • 122 - Gullane Circle (Prentice Coaches)
  • 113 - Pencaitland to Edinburgh (East Coast Buses)
  • 120 - Dunbar to North Berwick (Eve Coaches)
  • 121 - Haddington to North Berwick (Eve Coaches)
  • 123 - Haddington to Gifford Circle (Eve Coaches)
  • 124 - North Berwick to Edinburgh (East Coast Buses)
  • 130 - Dunbar Town Service (Eve Coaches)
  • 253 - Berwick to Edinburgh (Border Buses)
