Rent Level Consultation 2027/28

Overview

We are seeking tenants' views on the proposal to increase rents for 2027/28.  We understand many households continue to face financial pressures and we carefully consider the impact of any rent increase on our tenants.   However, increases are necessary to make sure we can continue to deliver essential services, maintain homes and invest in improvements for the future.  Rents have to increase to cover inflationary costs, increasing repair and maintenance costs, higher material and labour costs and growing compliance and safety requirements.

Why your views matter

The views of our tenants are important to us and the more tenants that take part in our consultation, the more accurately they are represented.  Each year, we consult with tenants, tenants and residents' groups and East Lothian Tenants and Residents Panel.
