East Lothian Local Development Plan Supplementary Guidance - Draft Developer Contributions Framework

Closed 7 Nov 2016

Opened 19 Sep 2016

Overview

The Council has published its proposed East Lothian Local Development Plan (LDP). This is the Council’s settled view as to what the final adopted content of the Local Development Plan for the area should be. The proposed plan comprises a development strategy for the future development of East Lothian to 2024 and beyond, a detailed policy framework for guiding development and proposals maps. It sets out where new development should and should not occur, including new housing, education, economic and retail development, new transport links, and other infrastructure. The plan is currently out for representation (see consultation links below).

This consultation is on the Draft Developer Contributions Framework Supplementary Guidance. This has been prepared alongside the Proposed East Lothian Local Development Plan. The Supplementary Guidance identifies the key contributions that will be required from applicants or developers in association with their proposals for sites planned for by the Local Development Plan in different development contribution zones within East Lothian. It also identifies the preferred manner in which such developer contributions should be provided for by applicants or developers.

Should you have any issues or need clarification on the process and/or how to submit a representation to the proposed Local Development Plan or a consultation response on the (list consultation docs), please contact the Policy and Projects team on 01620 827216 before making a submission.
